On 19 November 2014 the Council of Ministers appointed Radoslav Milenkov as Chairman of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Deposit Insurance Fund after releasing at his request the outgoing Chairman Rossen Nikolov.
Mr. Radoslav Milenkov holds a master’s degree in finance from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia and has extensive experience in the banking industry. Mr. Milenkov started his career as a stock exchange broker, auditor with ‘Deloitte & Touche’ – Bulgaria, and between 2003 and 2011 he held different managerial positions, incl. a Member of the Management Board, at First Investment Bank. From 2012 till his appointment as BDIF Chairman Mr. Milenkov was a Member of the Management Board and Executive Director of Municipal Bank, where his range of responsibilities included risk management, finance, assets and liabilities management, etc.
